What Should You Check When Moving In or Out?
When moving in, the priority is removing what previous occupants left behind. When moving out, the goal is to leave the property ready for handover.

What Shapes Your Move-In or Move-Out Cleaning Plan?
Property condition, access and the handover date determine the cleaning scope and priority areas.
Move-in and move-out cleaning prepares a house, condo or apartment before belongings arrive or after they are removed. Empty rooms provide better access, while furniture and boxes may limit reachable surfaces.
Service is available across Toronto and the GTA. Confirm the property size, priority rooms, access time and selected extras before booking.
PRIORITY AREAS FOR MOVE-IN / MOVE-OUT CLEANING
Which Areas Usually Become Priorities When Moving In or Out?
Clients usually prioritize areas with heavier buildup—the kitchen and bathroom. The team starts with these areas and then moves on to rooms, hallways and the entryway. This sequence helps use the time efficiently and complete the most important tasks first.

Professional Move-In / Move-Out Cleaning
Cleaning for Apartment Transitions and Property Turnovers
Leronzo Cleaning Group provides professional move-in and move-out apartment cleaning services across Toronto and the GTA. This service is designed for moments, when cleanliness directly affects outcomes — inspections, deposits, listings, and first impressions for new occupants.
Move-in / move-out cleaning is not routine maintenance. It is a reset-level service focused on restoring the apartment to a clean, neutral, and presentable condition after tenants move out or before new residents arrive. We regularly perform this service in high-density rental areas such as Downtown Toronto, North York, Etobicoke, and Mississauga, where turnover speed and cleaning accuracy matter most.
This service is often combined with Deep Cleaning for Apartments when an apartment has experienced long-term occupancy or visible buildup.
Our Move-In / Move-Out Cleaning Approach
Our approach focuses on preparing the apartment for the next stage — inspection, listing, or occupancy. We follow a structured, room-by-room checklist designed specifically for empty or partially furnished apartments, allowing us to access areas that are usually blocked during regular cleaning.

1 cleaner for 3 hours - 2–3 Bedrooms — CAD $354

The final price depends on the service format, team size, booked time, property condition, selected rooms, and any additional services confirmed during booking
Leronzo offers three ways to arrange move-in or move-out cleaning:
A Full Move-In / Move-Out Cleaning Package is best for an empty home that needs a structured cleaning before you move in or hand over the keys. The recommended team size and three-hour visit are based on the number of bedrooms.
Priority Move Cleaning by the Hour is best when you need selected rooms, final touch-ups, or specific tasks completed. You choose the number of cleaners and hours, then tell the team what should be handled first.
The Custom Cleaning Calculator is best when you want to define the exact scope in advance. You can select particular rooms, choose General or Deep Cleaning, and add services such as inside-oven, inside-fridge, cabinet, window, or wall cleaning.
In simple terms:
- Package: a recommended team and time for an empty-home cleaning.
- Hourly: you purchase the team’s time and control the priorities.
- Calculator: you purchase a specific selection of rooms and tasks.
If the property is still occupied and only needs routine maintenance, House Cleaning or Condo & Apartment Cleaning may be a better fit. For renovation dust and construction residue, choose Post-Renovation Cleaning.
Move-in and move-out cleaning focuses on preparing the property for a new occupant, final walkthrough, sale, rental handover, or fresh start.
Depending on the selected package or confirmed scope, the service may include:
- cleaning kitchens and bathrooms;
- wiping accessible surfaces;
- cleaning countertops, sinks, backsplashes, and appliance exteriors;
- cleaning cabinet fronts;
- dusting doors, frames, handles, switches, and reachable baseboards;
- vacuuming carpets and rugs;
- mopping hard floors;
- cleaning mirrors and accessible interior glass;
- removing ordinary household trash;
- cleaning bedrooms, living areas, hallways, and staircases;
- completing the priorities confirmed for the appointment.
The exact work completed depends on the selected format, available cleaning time, condition of the property, and tasks included in the booking. A timed package does not guarantee that every possible task will be completed within three hours.
These services are not automatically included in every package.
The current package inclusions vary by property size. For example, inside-fridge and inside-oven cleaning are shown in the 2–3 Bedroom package, while the 4–5 Bedroom package also lists interior windows. Always review the inclusions displayed for the package selected during booking.
Additional services may include:
- cleaning inside the refrigerator;
- cleaning inside the oven;
- cleaning inside kitchen cabinets;
- interior window cleaning;
- professional carpet cleaning;
- upholstery cleaning;
- balcony cleaning;
- wall spot cleaning or interior wall washing.
Regular vacuuming is different from professional carpet extraction. Similarly, wiping accessible glass is different from full interior or exterior window cleaning.
Services not listed in the selected package should be added through the calculator or confirmed separately before the appointment. The current page identifies appliance interiors, cabinet interiors, windows, carpet, and upholstery cleaning as optional or package-dependent services.
For the best result, move-in and move-out cleaning should be scheduled after furniture, boxes, personal belongings, and moving debris have been removed.
If some items remain in the property, the team can clean the accessible areas around them. However:
- cleaners do not move heavy furniture or appliances;
- surfaces covered by boxes or personal belongings may not be accessible;
- closets and cabinets must be empty if their interiors are included;
- construction materials and large moving debris should be removed beforehand;
- the refrigerator and oven should be emptied if their interiors are being cleaned.
If the property will not be completely empty, tell us before booking so the cleaning scope and priorities can be planned correctly.
Yes. Running water, electricity, working lights, and usable electrical outlets should remain available throughout the cleaning.
They are needed to:
- clean kitchens and bathrooms;
- vacuum carpets and floors;
- use professional equipment safely;
- rinse tools and cleaning cloths;
- inspect the completed work properly.
Our team brings the standard cleaning products, tools, and equipment required for the confirmed service.
Please notify us in advance about allergies, product sensitivities, delicate materials, natural stone, pets, or surfaces requiring special care.
No. You do not need to remain at the property as long as safe and reliable access has been arranged.
Access can be coordinated through:
- a lockbox or smart-lock code;
- key pickup or drop-off;
- a concierge or front desk;
- a realtor or property manager;
- building management;
- direct access from the owner or tenant.
Please also provide:
- alarm instructions;
- elevator reservation details;
- parking information;
- unit and buzzer numbers;
- garbage and recycling directions;
- any rooms or areas the team should not enter.
Incorrect codes, unavailable keys, denied building access, or elevator delays may reduce the available cleaning time or require the appointment to be rescheduled. The current page already states that access can be arranged through a concierge, lockbox, property manager, or realtor.
Contact us as soon as you know that your moving schedule, key handover, closing date, or access time has changed.
We will try to adjust the appointment, but a new arrival time depends on team availability and the amount of notice provided.
If the team arrives but cannot access the property because movers are still working, keys are unavailable, or the unit is not ready, the available cleaning time may be reduced. The appointment may also need to be rescheduled.
To avoid delays, schedule the cleaning after the movers have finished and allow enough time before the final walkthrough, key handover, or new occupant arrives.
No cleaning company can guarantee the return of a security deposit.
Professional move-out cleaning can help prepare the property for inspection and address cleaning-related concerns. However, the final decision belongs to the landlord or property manager and may also depend on:
- property damage;
- missing keys or access devices;
- unpaid rent or fees;
- lease requirements;
- unauthorized alterations;
- maintenance issues;
- areas or tasks not included in the cleaning booking.
Leronzo guarantees the cleaning service only within the confirmed scope. The FAQ should not promise a full deposit return or claim that every landlord requirement will automatically be satisfied.
Yes. Leronzo cleaning professionals are insured, trained, and background-checked. The team follows the confirmed booking scope, your priority instructions, and the property-access information provided before the appointment.
If you notice a concern, contact us within 24 hours of the completed service and identify the specific area. Photographs are helpful when available.
If the area was accessible and included in the confirmed booking, we will review the concern and arrange an appropriate resolution, which may include returning to re-clean that area at no additional cost.
The satisfaction policy does not cover:
- new dirt created after the cleaning;
- damage or permanent stains;
- inaccessible areas;
- tasks not included in the booking;
- areas covered by furniture, boxes, or personal belongings;
- maintenance, pest, mould, or hazardous-material issues.
The current page already uses a 24-hour reporting period for cleaning concerns.
